Trump just threw an obviously jealous Twitter fit over Nancy Pelosi’s 60 Minutes interview

It was a full day in front of the television for President Trump today, with his live tweeting of Tiger Woods’ Masters Tournament victory followed by his armchair commentary of 60 Minutes’ segment on Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

Unsurprisingly, the president seemed to have enjoyed watching Tiger Woods reclaim victory for the first time in 11 years more than seeing CBS’s profile of his most accomplished adversary.

Trump still managed to salvage some pleasure out of his viewing time by using it as a springboard for a maliciously falsehood-laden Twitter attack against the Democratic House leader.

The president conveniently forgets to mention that in the slightly more than three months that Pelosi has held the Speaker’s gavel — a time hampered for most of the first month by Trump’s shutdown of the federal government — the House has passed numerous bills, including campaign finance and ethics bills, that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) has refused to even bring up for a vote in the Senate.

Moreover, the one crucial bill that was passed by both the House and the Senate — a bill putting an end to Trump’s bogus national emergency declaration over his made up southern border crisis that violated the constitutional separation of powers — resulted in the president’s first veto.

Trump’s criticism of Pelosi’s leadership as presenting no meaningful legislation is like Republican claims of massive voter fraud— blaming the victims of disenfranchisement for their inability to overcome the deliberate obstacles placed in their paths.

Oddly, no one seems to recall Trump criticizing the then-Republican-led House for their investigatory zeal in pursuing Hillary Clinton over Benghazi or her email server, but suddenly when the probes are turned towards him and his party, outrage ensues, and the president resorts to accusing his opponents of the very crimes for which  he is being investigated.

Trump’s deliberate ignorance of the constitutionally mandated oversight function of the legislative branch is simply more self-serving excrement spewing from his Twitter fingers.

His offense that the “Mueller No Collusion decision” wasn’t discussed as part of Pelosi’s 60 Minutes interview would be more properly directed towards the program’s producers than at the Speaker, but if William Barr fulfills his promise to release this week a redacted version of the report he described specifically as not exonerating the president on obstruction, Trump shouldn’t worry. There will be more discussion of that particular issue coming this week than he’ll ever want to hear.

Trump also apparently used a mistaken preposition in the last line of his tweet. He claims that Speaker Pelosi “was a disaster at W.H.” when it’s clear that, in fact, she is a disaster for the White House. That’s why she’s earned the admiration and respect of Democrats from across the country.

Trump’s jealousy and humiliation at being outclassed and outmaneuvered by a powerful woman is obvious. He should go back to watching TV and keep his lying delusions to himself.
