Hillary Clinton has always been the perfect foil for President Trump. With her intelligence, competence, and emotional stability, Clinton has been the polar opposite of Trump in every way.
Unfortunately, with Hillary keeping a low profile these days, the president needs a new woman to belittle. While the field of Democratic presidential hopefuls is chock full of women he could choose to target, thus far Trump has limited his most intense patented brand of derogatory nicknames to just Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) — whose claims that her family history indicated that she possessed a small percentage of Native American ancestry earned her the sobriquet of “Pocahontas.”
The president has yet to come up with any insulting names that have stuck for Warren’s fellow female Democratic hopefuls like Senators Kamala Harris (D-CA), Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), and Kristen Gillibrand (D-NY), not to mention Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) or Marianne Williamson, but he’s surely busy thinking about what he can invent to inflict the most damage.

In actuality, Trump doesn’t need to find a new bogeywoman to hold up to his followers as an example of all who are working to eliminate their natural born privileges as white men and women. His son has already helped his followers find their own new favorite target to chant maliciously about, progressive Democratic-Socialist standard bearer Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
Warming up the crowd for his father at his Grand Rapids, Michigan rally last night, Donald Trump Jr. lashed into the freshman congressional wunderkind with a test balloon of a false accusation to see how the crowd would respond to this particular line of attack against the representative with more intelligence and determination than the entire Trump family combined.
“Think about the fact that every mainstream, leading Democratic contender is taking the advice of a freshman congresswoman who three weeks ago didn’t know the three branches of government,” Trump Jr. declared, forgetting his father’s own ignorance of basic civics and referring to the embrace of the Green New Deal climate plan — sponsored by Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Edward J. Markey (D-MA) — by most of the Democratic candidates. “I don’t know about you guys, but that’s pretty scary.”
When the crowd of Trump deplorables broke into chants of “AOC sucks!”, the president’s oldest son stopped and grinned at the success of his ploy.
“You guys, you’re not very nice,” he said, mockingly chastising the audience. “And neither is what that policy would do to this country.”
With Republicans and Fox News falsely mischaracterizing The Green New Deal as a Democratic plot to ban airplanes, cows, hamburgers, and anything else held sacred by under-educated middle Americans, it’s only natural that the Trump supporters act like trained seals at the mention of Rep. Ocasio-Cortez’s name.
That the freshman congresswoman is familiar enough to the crowd far from her home district in the Bronx and Queens in New York to refer to her by just her initials demonstrates just how effective her advocacy for progressive policies have made her in such a short time in office — and how much time Republican-backed conservative media has demonized her ideas for the people who don’t bother to think and evaluate the validity of new thinking for themselves.
After The Washington Post published an article describing Trump Jr.’s attempts to anoint AOC as the new supervillain to denounce, the congresswoman shrugged off his comments and the crowd’s chants in a remarkably nonchalant and charitable manner in a Twitter post commenting on the newspaper article.
That’s okay – I’ll fight for their right to healthcare anyway. https://t.co/xvp76xoPVT

Hopefully, Rep. Ocasio-Cortez doesn’t expect any gratitude from Trump followers for her efforts to secure health care for every American citizen. That she’ll fight for them despite their malicious intent towards her proves the strength of her character and convictions and shows why so many Democrats are looking to her as the embodiment of the future of the party.
