Sometimes it pays to be in the pocket of the White House.
For Fox News, it has helped them in getting advance news this morning on Attorney General William Barr’s plans to release the first information from the final report of Special Counsel Robert Mueller on his team’s investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and the myriad of related issues that his probe uncovered.
A White House insider leaked the information about Barr’s plans to Fox News, which cited “an administration official familiar with the process” who told them that Barr could release the main conclusions of the Special Counsel’s report between three and five PM Eastern Time this afternoon.

“The Attorney General wants to get this out tonight,” Fox News‘ source said. “It will hit what is on everyone’s minds — no parsing of words, no games.”
While the anticipation to hear the slightest morsel about what Mueller’s report contains is overwhelming among members of Congress as well as the general public, the administration official who spoke with Fox News cautioned that the release of any information by Barr could be held up by “procedural hurdles.”
While those potential hurdles were not enumerated, they presumably relate to the vetting of classified materials, secret grand jury testimony, and any information covered by the president’s claims of executive privilege that the report may contain.
As the nation sits on the edge of their seats waiting for news of the contents of the report, it appears that we may have the first inkling in just a few hours. Stay tuned!
