Barely a week after a white supremacist walked into two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, and ruthlessly murdered over 51 innocent Muslims, FOX News host Laura Ingraham returned to openly promoting the exact same kind of white supremacist propaganda that motivated the shooter and formed the basis of his political beliefs.
On Tuesday night, Ingraham embarked on a furious rant against the Democrats, accusing them of engaging in “radical” politics in an attempt to subvert the Republican Party and prevent Republican voters from having their voices count, through progressive ideas like reparations for slavery (which she smeared as “buying black votes”) and abolishing the electoral college (a racist institution designed to give outsize power to racists).
Then she began repeating the same ideas that featured prominently in the manifesto of the Christchurch killer — the idea that liberals want to “replace” white people with immigrants:
“Democrats were once the party of ideas, the party of the little guy. Well, the little guy is actually doing much better under Trump, and they know it. So what’s their answer? To replace you, slowly but surely, with new voters. To replace the old system that elected Donald Trump with a new system that they’ll say is fairer.”
The killer’s manifesto was entitled “The Great Replacement,” a phrase coined by white nationalist propagandist Lauren Southern to describe an imaginary crisis in which the culture of white people in the West is being “replaced” by immigration and low birth rates.

It is enormously, criminally irresponsible for her to deliberately continue to inflame white anxiety and openly repeat promote the same kind of toxic ideas that led the Christchurch shooter to commit his horrendous acts of violence — which means that FOX News’ continued promotion of white supremacist rhetoric and conspiracy theories is part of a systematic effort to incite violence against Muslims, immigrants, and people of color, no matter what the consequences might be or the lives that might be lost because of it.
Free speech is one thing, but FOX News is dabbling in Nazism so frequently these days that it’s obvious they are a threat to public safety and shouldn’t be allowed to be on the air, let alone call themselves a “news network.”
