Ocasio-Cortez just humiliated Mark Meadows and Wilbur Ross after shredding them in hearing

This afternoon, House Republicans made the terrible mistake of attempting to come at Ocasio-Cortez, putting their misogyny and their condescension on full display as they  tried to challenge her on the law — and got more than they bargained for when she was able to whip out all the facts and smack them in the face with it.

In an Oversight Committee hearing on Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross’s decision to include a citizenship question on the 2020 census, Ocasio-Cortez hammered him and the rest of the Trump administration for ignoring the Census Bureau’s own experts in favor of vote-suppression operatives linked to Trump and Kris Kobach.

In addition, she busted Ross and the rest of the Trump team for violating federal law because they had “not met the congressional reporting requirements mandated by law, because the new citizenship question was materially different from the one that last appeared on the census, in 1950.”

After political observers marveled at her knowledge and skillful delivery, she took to Twitter for a victory lap and to rub it in the faces of the Republicans who fell for their own propaganda and believed that she was as ignorant and dumb as they try to paint her:

Behind her quick responses is hours and hours of work from Ocasio-Cortez and the rest of her staff to make sure that she is prepared to walk into a pit of Republican vipers and not only to escape unscathed but to return with their fangs in a bag — and she is excelling at every test they throw at her.
