While still licking their wounds from the massive public rejection in the midterm elections of the Republican agenda they’ve been force-feeding America over their airwaves, it must be refreshing at least for Fox News hosts to have a whole new group of Democratic politicians to set up as objects of fear and derision as the potency of their attacks on retired and inactive Democratic luminaries like Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama begins to wear off.

With a trio of female minorities entering the spotlight in the House of Representatives as progressive advocates, Fox News is making every effort to demonize the newly elected congresswomen for the benefit of their audience of conservative vultures waiting for a new carcass to feed upon.
The bad faith accusations of anti-Semitism against Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) for her poorly worded — but perfectly legitimate — criticism of the excessive power of the right-wing pro-Israel lobbying group AIPAC in American politics have made her Fox News‘ favorite new target this week as they cater to their evangelical audience — who only support Israel because they believe the rapture won’t happen without it.
The network’s Jeanine Pirro went off the deep end in her ranting comments on Congresswoman Omar, saying that the representative’s wearing of the hijab, as per the traditions of her Muslim faith, indicate that she is trying to “implement Sharia law” and that Omar is against the U.S Constitution.

Pirro betrayed her own lack of understanding of constitutional protections for religious liberty — that she apparently believes only apply to the white Judeo-Christian-derived religions — with the ridiculous comments that her viewers (who work tirelessly to inflict their own evangelical version of Sharia law upon the nation) eagerly lapped up.

Twitter users, on the other hand, reacted with the level of outrage that Pirro’s false equivalency so rightly deserved.

Jeanine Pirro is a disgrace. Ilhan Omar's right to wear hijab in accordance with her religious convictions is as constitutional as an Orthodox Jewish woman's right to wear a sheitel. Anything less is un-American. https://t.co/O4fpTJujao

Jeanine Pirro says Rep Ilhan Omar's hijab means she's against US Constitution
So what about
– Catholic Nuns
– Orthodox Jews
– Orthodox Christian NunsHer rhetoric is extremely discriminatory and Islamophobic. Absolutely outrageous! pic.twitter.com/tmz9AEeyju

As a hijab-wearing Muslim woman in America, I view Jeanine Pirro’s dog whistle about shariah law and hijab extremely dangerous .. will Pirro take responsibility for inciting hate if Muslim women get attacked as a result?pic.twitter.com/DdXL5bC7da

I’m a Christian and a Republican and a former minister.
But the brand of “Christianity” Jeanine Pirro promotes isn’t the Jesus version — it’s a far right wing versus catering only to the most ignorant.
Religious freedom means religious freedom. https://t.co/x7Acz8T8gu

Pirro denounces Omar for accusing Jewish lawmakers of having dual loyalty and then turns around and says Omar is more loyal to Sharia than the Constitution because she wears a hijab. One thing many Jews and Muslims who are deeply loyal to the U.S. have in common: head-coverings. https://t.co/ntQd6Z3TwI

I guess it is fitting that Pirro would pick a slur that broadly parallels the “dual loyalty” criticism Omar got in trouble for. https://t.co/306xwDM3Js

The most telling thing about Jeanine Pirro saying that Ilhan Omar wearing a Hijab means she's against the Constitution is that the extremist who believes in state-sponsored religion in this scenario is Jeanine Pirro.

Jeanine Pirro, @JudgeJeanine should be charged before the Bar indisbarrment for conduct not in keeping with standards of the American Bar. She is using her authority as a practitioner of law misrepresent the meaning and spirit of Law @tribelaw https://t.co/iEVky0Atmf

Fun fact of which @JudgeJeanine may or may not already be aware: sharia commands Muslims to adhere to the law of the land in which they reside #TakeThatForDatahttps://t.co/4VOOt137mb

Pirro’s attack on Representative Omar makes perfect sense coming from a “news” network that has co-ordinated its messaging with the White House to enable political hit jobs on the opponents of the Trump administration as was revealed in Jane Mayer’s insightful expose of Fox News‘ role as Trump’s semi-official propaganda outlet.
To properly promulgate the Trump administration talking points, Fox News and its on-air talent must abandon any relationship they had with the facts and the concept of truth to spread the lies they want their audience to accept, no matter how damaging to the unity of the nation and the principles of our Constitution it may be.
