This morning, the Democratic National Committee announced that they would not be allowing conservative propaganda network FOX News to host any 2020 Democratic presidential debates or air any of the 12 scheduled debates.

Given the close relationship between the Trump administration and FOX News, which largely operates as pro-Trump state propaganda when it isn’t busy giving air time to open white supremacists.

The recent report from the New Yorker‘s Jane Meyer detailing how FOX News buried the story about President Trump’s illegal hush money payments to ex-mistress Stormy Daniels appears to have been the nail in the coffin of the already astonishingly poor idea to have the network that spent several months spreading insane conspiracy theories about the tragic murder of a DNC staffer moderate a Democratic presidential debate.
By and large, the content produced by FOX News exists in a delusional world of their own creation, the product of nefarious right-wing psychopaths who ruthlessly promote a malicious agenda of ideological extremism in between settling sexual assault lawsuits.
Why would the candidates of the Democratic Party want to face questions from the moderating team that sat back and said nothing as Carly Fiorina described, in gruesome detail, an imaginary and debunked account of a post-birth abortion in a Planned Parenthood facility during a 2015 presidential debate?
There are very real, very serious issues facing the American people and we deserve a more substantial discussion than watching Senator Sanders have to endlessly answer variations of “um, what about VENEZUELA” from a smirking Brett Baier.
They should never have been considered in the first place, but it’s reassuring to see the DNC make the right choice and tell the president’s minions to shove it. In case you needed any evidence that this was the correct choice, the ensuing wave of whining from the pseudointellectual grifters that make up the Very Serious Conservative Media should put the issue to rest:
This is a mistake for Democrats. But also a bad sign for the country. https://t.co/RTNVwhzufo

The DNC is making a mistake by not having Fox host a primary debate. Not only do they have several anchors (@HARRISFAULKNER, @BretBaier & Chris Wallace) capable of fairly moderating one, but it’s an opportunity to reach a new audience/voters they might want in November 2020

That’s really a shame. When it comes to fairness – our news product speaks for itself. We will continue to cover this 2020 race fairly & will continue to invite Democrats- Republicans & Independents on to talk about key issues & substance with our very large viewing audience https://t.co/z0TdftcVmz

Not sure how declining to have a debate on Fox News squares with @TomPerez oft-repeated adage about Dems needing to take their message absolutely everywhere & to everyone.

Imagine the media outrage if this headline read “Republican National Committee Rejects CNN for Debates”
It’d likely be framed as an attack on the free press, but this is the DNC, so no issue here, right?https://t.co/624DSPsGCQ

And here I thought this was America. Guess there is no free speech, or free press. If you don't agree with the Dems, you're out… Imagine if RNC said only Fox news for debates?
