Stormy Daniels, the adult film star with whom former Trump attorney Michael Cohen arranged a non-disclosure agreement to prevent her from disclosing her sexual liaison with President Trump, congratulated Cohen for his courage in testifying publically about the criminal actions he committed at the direction of the president.
“Michael, I’m proud of you for finally beginning to tell the truth about what you did, and trying to repair some of the harm you have caused,” Daniels wrote, according to a Twitter post by MSNBC correspondent Garrett Haake.
Trump’s former mistress went on to cite Cohen’s justifiable fear for the safety of himself and his family as a result of his decision to cease defending Trump and turn into a cooperating witness in the ongoing investigations into the president and his administration.
While expressing her sympathy for Cohen and his family, Daniels also reminded the remorseful former personal lawyer for Trump that she has a family of her own and that his prior statements threatening her on the president’s behalf were as painful to her as what Cohen was now experiencing himself.

Hopefully, as Daniels expresses in the final line of her statement, Cohen’s testimony today will lead to the nation someday being able to “leave this nightmare behind.”
Cohen will continue his testimony before the House Oversight Committee later this afternoon after a short break. Expect more revelations to come.
