Malia Obama’s secret Facebook page just got revealed, and it has anti-Trump messages

Since leaving the White House, the Obama family has mostly declined to comment on the ongoing circus of chaos that is the Trump administration, demonstrating a respect for our election process that is admirable even as some find it frustrating. That said, nobody would presume that the Obamas feel anything less than absolute disdain for the racist monster currently squatting at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Trump’s beliefs stand in stark opposition to the principles that the Obamas so clearly value: patriotism, compassion, and service.

Now, The Daily Mail reports that a secret Facebook page for Malia Obama has been discovered in which she expressed strong feelings about Donald Trump. While the page doesn’t seem to have been publicly updated since 2017, it offers very clear insight into how Malia, and presumably much of her family, talk about our current president behind closed doors.

Operating under a pseudonym, she posted a photo of pink sticky notes that called Trump “evil” and urged the reader not to be “complacent.” Finnegan Biden, a granddaughter of the former Vice President endorsed the picture by stating “I like it,” showing that the deep dislike of Trump extends beyond just the Obamas.

In addition to the anti-Trump sentiments, the page also offers a peek into the young woman’s life, with photos of her hanging out with her friends and generally enjoying her teenage years. Clearly, the private Facebook allowed her a degree of normalcy and social engagement with her friends that a public profile— which surely would have been inundated with fans and Republican trolls alike — would not have.

The Daily Mail additionally reports that Malia Obama shared a link to a petition calling for legislative action after the tragic Las Vegas mass shooting. Inarguably a caring and politically-minded individually one can safely presume this is not the last we will hear from Malia.
