Notoriously thin-skinned President Donald Trump spent the weekend raging about Saturday Night Live’s unflattering portrayal of him and his myriad scandals — again — and that’s causing some major concern among the actors.

In a furious Twitter rant, the President wondered how networks “get away” with their “Republican hit jobs” and complained bitterly about how it was “unfair” and bizarrely, “the real collusion.”
Nothing funny about tired Saturday Night Live on Fake News NBC! Question is, how do the Networks get away with these total Republican hit jobs without retribution? Likewise for many other shows? Very unfair and should be looked into. This is the real Collusion!

The president’s remarks, of course, are utter nonsense. The comedy sketches about him are hardly a “political hit job,” and SNL has never been afraid to mock Democrats either; it’s not their fault that the president continues to churn out scandals at such a staggering rate.

But actor Alec Baldwin, who plays Trump and did a sketch mocking his emergency declaration just this past weekend, grew frustrated with the President’s targeting of SNL and grew worried that he was being put in danger.

While it may seem a tad of an overreaction, he is doubtlessly besieged with death threats and other hateful remarks from Trump’s supporters, as anyone and everyone who dares to criticize the president does.

But considering that Alec Baldwin has a networth of $65 million, we’re pretty sure he’s going to be just fine.
However, it is a sharp reminder of how easily the president gives in to his more authoritarian urges at the drop of a hat. Though we may be slightly numb to it at this point, it is not normal or okay that the president of the United States is complaining about television shows from his Twitter account and casually calling for something to be done about the situation. Given his track record of inspiring violence from his rabid fans, Baldwin can’t be blamed for being worried.
