Kellyanne’s husband just brutally mocked Trump for his weird, rambling emergency declaration speech

President Trump once again left the nation scratching its head this afternoon when he announced that he would be declaring a national emergency in order to force the military to build his racist border wall for him in a rambling, incoherent speech that touched on everything from the war in Syria to drugs to immigration to trade with China and featured many of the president’s characteristically bizarre tangents.

Both the speech and the decision were widely panned by prominent politicians and commentators on both sides of the aisle. One of the most scathing critiques came from senior Ethics and Policy Center fellow Henry Olsen, who raked the president over the coals in a Washington Post op-ed.

His column caught the eye of Washington D.C. lawyer and husband to Trump’s media consigliere Kellyanne Conway, George Conway, who shared the post with the most biting line in his tweet:

President Trump is notorious for his worship of dictators and obvious envy at the power they command and the fear they inspire, which makes it even more deliciously ironic that he is the complete opposite of them in every way.

Stupid, lazy, insecure, ignorant, and gullible, President Trump indeed resembles more the bumbling comic relief rather than the Star Wars archvillian referenced above — and nothing made that more clear than the unconstitutional power grab that he tried to make with this national emergency and then immediately sabotaged by babbling about how he didn’t have to do it.

We can only hope Trump never comes close to emulating the dictators that he looks up to — with the exception of the swiftness of their inevitable falls and the punishment that follows.
