Meghan McCain just torched Trump for insulting her father before State of Union speech

Donald Trump’s unhealthy obsession with the Republican Senator who kept Obamacare alive just overshadowed his offputting State of the Union address tonight.

Trump took the time to insult the late Senator John McCain during a partisan screed against the rising electoral power of the Democratic Party, telling a luncheon for television anchors that the lawmaker’s final book, “The Restless Wave” had “bombed.”

Meghan McCain is a national television personality in her own right in addition to being the departed Arizona Senator’s daughter. Her response to Trump’s idiotic insult just broke the internet right before the State of the Union speech and it’s already overshadowing the President’s speech.

The reality is that Sen. McCain’s book has a 4.5 star rating in 424 reviews on Amazon and spent a month atop the 2015 New York Times non-fiction bestsellers list, where it returned after his death last year.

But Donald Trump has never let the facts or good taste get in the way of his endless grudges.

In the wake of another poorly received Trump State of the Union speech written by rabid immigration foe, Steven Miller, Meghan McCain’s powerful slam is already eclipsing the racist messaging and lies the President peddled to the key GOP constituency that he lost in 2018.

Women make up slightly more than half of the American population, but Donald Trump isn’t interested in them politically, which is why are abandoning him in droves.

An NPR poll last month found that Trump’s approval rating dropped a whopping 24% amongst white women without college degrees, a key GOP constituency, in just one month.

The Bully-in-Chief misjudged the helplessness of his target today – a dead man –  believing that he could win the fight because his opponent couldn’t possibly fight back, the only sort of foil Trump might defeat.

Donald Trump still failed.
