A gun-toting Trump fan just barged into a library to stop a drag queen from reading to kids

When Hillary Clinton referred to half of Trump’s supporters as a “basket of deplorables” she was hit with a wave of outraged backlash for supposedly maligning perfectly nice, hardworking Americans. But now, over two years into Trump’s reign, it appears that Clinton may have been far too kind, as stories of Trump supporters engaged in hate crimes, mass shootings, and a slew of racist incidents seem to hit the headlines every few days.

It happened again this past weekend, and now the full story has emerged. The Independent reports that a Trump supporter entered a library in Texas wielding a gun on a deranged mission to prevent a drag queen from reading books to children and their families as part of a scheduled event called “Drag Queen Storytime.”

“A manager asked us for assistance because he was banned from the library, and would not leave when he was asked. He was previously banned for filming children at the library, and has been known to cause disturbances. Several officers had to escort him out,” a Houston Police Department spokesperson told Outsmart.

The man, James Green, was arrested for suspicion of trespassing and  Outsmart reports that police officers found a concealed gun on Green’s person. Green told them that there were a “bunch of homosexuals” that were molesting children and added that the police themselves were helping.

The police were forced to call an ambulance for Green when he claimed that he was having chest pains. He was then promptly released from the hospital.

Green later recorded and released a video on Facebook in which he wore a MAGA hat in front of a creepy cardboard cutout of Trump and Reagan. Pulling a page directly from his Donalds pathetic playbook, he proceeded to complain that he had been singled out for being a “white Christian” before going full Pizzagate and accusing library staff of being Satanists.

“This cannot stand, we must fight back,” Green said ominously.

Police will be setting up security at the next Drag Queen Storytime event to prevent a similar, or worse incident. As of now, prosecutors have not filed charges.

The drag queen who was reading at the event, Regina Blake-Dubois, was unfazed by Green’s bigotry. “While his intention might have been to ruin the day for everyone involved, it completely failed. Library management and HPD kept him away from the kids, and we had no knowledge it even happened until we were done,” said Blake-Dubois.

While this disturbing incident ended well enough, it’s a stark reminder that there are countless bigoted, potentially dangerous Trump supporters out there, and the longer their monstrous president stays in power, the more convinced they become of their worst opinions and most fringe conspiracy theories. For the sake of the country, he must be voted out.
