White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, a woman who is best known for her staggering ability to lie with every breath she exhales, has decided to wade into the Republican war against rising Democratic star Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. AOC, as she is often referred to as, has been sounding the alarm over global climate change, and is calling for a Green New Deal to rescue the planet and revitalize the American economy.

Unlike Trump’s rhetoric, which relies on fearmongering and mendacity, AOC’s message is one of hope and mutual cooperation, the traits that have always defined the best of American leadership. She is the perfect foil for a GOP that has become rotted to its core with cruelty and kleptocracy.
With that in mind, it’s hardly surprising that Huckabee Sanders would feel the need to attack her. Trump’s hired liar said the administration won’t listen to AOC, and that they — insanely enough — are going to leave climate change to a “much higher authority,” presumably meaning God.
Sarah Huckabee Sanders's dismissal of @AOC's comments on climate change has everything.

Huckabee Sanders should have known better than to go after Ocasio-Cortez because she is always quick to hit back against bad faith criticisms and attacks with a wit that allows her to run circles around older conservatives.

In this case, AOC took to Twitter to quote the Bible, pointing out that the holy book calls for humans to protect the Earth, not destroy it or ignore its continued destruction. In one simple tweet, she demonstrated a far better understanding of Christianity that Huckabee Sanders.
She followed up the quotes by pointing out that Huckabee Sanders and the GOP shouldn’t need to be told to protect the planet in the first place. This should go without saying, but Republicans have shown they’re willing to let the entire die if it means the fossil fuel industries will continue lining their pockets. Ocasio-Cortez is brave to take them head-on and she deserves the support of every American.

You shouldn’t need a Bible to tell you to protect our planet, but it does anyway.
