President Trump’s former lawyer -turned-tormentor Michael Cohen just returned home from a surprise visit to the hospital with his arm in a sling and a pack of paparazzi documenting his every move.
Last week, President Trump openly threatened his former lawyer and warned him not to follow through with his planned testimony to Congress on February 7th, and Cohen has said the remarks caused him to fear for his safety.
Michael Cohen comes home with a black eye and his arm in a sling while Trump is tweeting threats to him and his father-in-law? WTF? https://t.co/lmy7IzZ86E

Cohen’s spokespeople told the New York Daily News that he got a minor “in and out” surgery performed on his shoulder. But that doesn’t explain why the Daily Mail reports that Cohen also sported “a possible black eye” when he got home while holding a pillow over his left arm to obscure the limb. The Mail wrote:
Cohen could be seen Friday with his left arm covered, hanging in a sling. He was holding a full-size white pillow while sporting a possible black eye.
His right hand had a small bandage of the kind used to cover a small wound by an IV.
While there’s no evidence that Trump, who has long been associated with the New York mob, had anything to do with this, it should be remembered that someone threatened to harm former Trump ex-mistress Stormy Daniels unless she “left Trump alone” and “forgot the story.”
President Trump has relentlessly continued his string of Twitter invective against his former right-hand man, whose illegal hush money payoffs to mistresses and secret cash deals to rig online polls turned into a three-year prison sentence.

Trump’s main avenue of attack is directed at Cohen’s father-in-law, who was convicted of a tax felony in the early 1990s.

Kevin Corke, @FoxNews “Don’t forget, Michael Cohen has already been convicted of perjury and fraud, and as recently as this week, the Wall Street Journal has suggested that he may have stolen tens of thousands of dollars….” Lying to reduce his jail time! Watch father-in-law!

Key Democrats already put Trump on formal notice that tampering with a crucial Congressional witness won’t be ignored by the new House of Representatives, and that includes inciting others to harm Cohen.
We don’t know if Michael Cohen was really roughed up or not, but we do know that the President’s continually un-presidential incitement against the attorney who knows his secrets is just as criminal as the acts he’s expected to testify about this upcoming February 7th to the House Oversight Committee.
If Cohen reveals that there are recordings in his Congressional testimony, which back up his steady drumbeat of claims that the President directed him to commit a bunch of felonies, then we’ll find out soon afterward if a group cowardly Republican Senators are willing to finally dump Trump, like they did Nixon before him.
