Kellyanne Conway’s husband and Preet Bharara just teamed up to shred Trump over his Russian treason

Top Republican attorney George Conway – whose wife Kellyanne is the president’s senior advisor – just tweeted the perfect response to Trump’s empty denial of involvement with Russia and explained why it fails.

It took Trump over two days to issue the denial after a pair of bombshell reports revealed that the FBI has evidence making it believe that he is an agent of the Kremlin, but he did so today on the White House lawn.

Trump said he didn’t “work for” Russia, but didn’t deny that he worked with Russia.

It took two days for Trump to gauge the media reaction to news that the FBI targeted him in a counterintelligence investigation, which got turned over to Special Counsel Mueller, and that he bizarrely suppressed details about his meetings with Putin.

This weekend President Trump completely dodged Jeanine Pirro’s direct question about his alleged work for Russia in 358 words and got publicly chastened by House Democrats for threatening his personal lawyer in a disastrous appearance on Fox News last Saturday night, where he couldn’t even hit back against their softball questions.

Conway’s reaction to Trump’s new denials hit the nail of the root problem America has with Donald Trump occupying the White House, regardless of his disqualifying foreign entanglements. He responded to a tweet by Preet Bharara, a U.S. Attorney fired by the Trump administration, in which Bharara called it a “disgrace” that Trump’s behavior necessitates asking questions about his Russian connections.

The Washington Post‘s fact checker having to create an entire category of repetitive lies for Donald Trump, which includes a telling Trump deflection about Democrats while the walls have closed in on the president’s clandestine lies to the Kremlin, like this “bottomless Pinnochio” about Russia:

Trump has repeatedly asserted that Democrats colluded with Russia during the election (48 times). This is obviously false, as the Democrats were the target of hacking by Russian entities, according to U.S. intelligence agencies.

Trump constant projections and intentional falsehoods are not attempts to convey information, but rather to con listeners into believing that “up is down” and “war is peace.” In accusing Democrats, the president is projecting his own problems onto others in a desperate attempt at self-protection.

The most famous incidence of this is Hillary Clinton’s 100% accurate allegations that Donald Trump is Putin’s puppet at the last 2016 election debate.

Clinton tried perfectly to warn us, but shamefully the two men on the debate stage basically shouted her down for laying out the facts.

George Conway is a key legal figure in the history of presidential law which required him to be relentlessly factual, in addition to being the husband of one of Trump’s very few, long time advisors in the White House.

Conway is absolutely correct to denounce Donald Trump’s total inability to work within a framework of reality and point out why the American people can’t accept his denial of being in a clandestine alliance with Russia that harms U.S. interests.
