The phrase “monkey see, monkey do” has never been more applicable than when describing the relationship between Donald Trump and his son, Donald Trump Jr.
The heir of the Trump family is perpetually locked in a Sysiphean struggle for his father’s affection and respect, driving him to ape his father and take every disgustingly racist thing his father says to the next level.
Whether it’s comparing Syrian refugees to poisoned skittles or women to “herding mothers” or actively promoting neo-Nazi dog whistles from his social media account, Donald Trump Jr. is guaranteed to have a stunningly offensive post about the latest issue of the day.

Which is why the Trump scion took to Instagram last night to post a meme comparing immigrants to animals in a zoo, a comparison his father has made before on multiple occasions.

The past use of “animals” to smear members of minority groups by genocidal regimes cannot be forgotten; from Hitler’s Germany to Rwanda, the use of this kind of language to strip people’s humanity away and thus break down the moral and ethical barriers that prevent people from killing each other has proven to be a horrifyingly successful tactic.
To hear the president of the United States and his son use such appalling language about immigrants fleeing the violence and instability that the United States has wrought on Latin America is truly horrifying to behold.
Republican political strategist Ana Navarro took to Twitter to scorch the young Trump for his disgusting racism and for his cowardly love for murdering endangered species with high-powered weaponry.
Given Trumpito’s track record with animals, seems to me, he’s got it backward. The fences are to protect the animals from him. —->Donald Trump Jr. Says Border Wall Is Like A Zoo Fence Protecting You From Animals https://t.co/wyaJqepb8s

Navarro’s family is originally from Nicaragua and she has been one of the most outspoken critics of Trump and his awful family from the right side of the aisle. She did a perfect job in calling out Trump Jr.’s sociopathic lack of empathy for any living creatures at all and turning his stupid meme back on its head.
