Kellyanne Conway just totally lost it on Jim Acosta after he called out Trump over tonight’s speech

With President Trump set to give a hastily announced speech from the Oval Office tonight about the fake “crisis” on the southern border, speculation is running rampant over what new package of lies he will attempt to shove down the throat of the American public.

The speech — which is certainly far too generous a word for the hodgepodge of incoherent thoughts and racist dog whistles that will inevitably dribble out of the president’s senile mouth tonight — is little more than a transparent gambit to gin up support for Trump’s asinine border wall. It also comes as he is flirting with the idea of declaring a national emergency and using the military to build his wall, a terrifying, authoritarian prospect.

Now, Kellyanne Conway has been forced to address Trump’s upcoming speech. The former campaign manager and current Counselor to the President was asked by CNN’s Jim Acosta if she could promise that the president will tell the truth tonight, a reasonable question given Trump’s pathological penchant for mendacity.

Yes, Jim, and can you promise that you will?” Conway snapped back. “The whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help you God? Am I allowed to mention God to you?”

“I’m not the one who has the alternative facts problem like you,” Acosta hit back, referencing Conway’s now-infamous neologism.

“Jim I know that’s a cheap– Make sure that goes viral. This is why, by the way, this why I’m one of the only people around here who even gives you the time of day. And let me just get back in your face because you’re such a smartass most of the time and I know you want this to go viral. A lot of these people don’t like you,” she said, pointing at the other reporters. And she wasn’t done there.

“But let me just be respectful to the media writ large as I always am. I explained that that was alternative information and additional facts and I explained it many times. And don’t you put it back in my face for all the corrections that your network needs to issue. I was on your network 25 or 26 times in 2018,” raged Conway.

“I’m one of the last people here who even bothered to go on and the disrespect that you show to me personally I’ll just look past,” she concluded after a rant that decidedly was not her “looking past” Acosta’s comments.

“Ma’am,” Acosta began, trying to get a word in.

“No, no and don’t call me ma’am to make it up,” she said before moving on to another question.

Conway’s entire performance was dripping with the kind of self-righteous and self-victimization that has become the hallmark of the Trump White House. She was deeply unprofessional and one would say she should be ashamed of herself if she hadn’t long ago proven herself incapable of feeling shame.

The clip was shared by Ben Shapiro’s pet goblin,  Daily Wire hack Ryan Saavedra, one of the most consistently clueless and grating conservatives on Twitter.
