History was made yesterday when Representative-elect Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) was sworn in on Thomas Jefferson’s Koran, making her one of the two first Muslim women to ever represent their state in the United States Congress.

Right off the bat, the Palestinian-American progressive continued to make headlines by issuing a passionate threat to Donald Trump that undoubtedly sent shivers of fear through the president’s fat folds and thrills of excitement through all those present:

While of course the insufferable, spineless pearl-clutching civility weenies in both the Very Serious Media and the Republican Party were horrified at Tlaib’s use of a four-letter word to describe the man who attempted to ban all members of her religion from entering the country, she remained unrepentant and refused to apologize, issuing this statement on Twitter:
I will always speak truth to power. #unapologeticallyMe

It’s truly inspiring to see our newly elected representatives not only telling it like it is, but also to stand by their words in the face of the feeble mewlings of the status quo defenders and the president’s enablers.
While one shouldn’t just throw around that kind of language left and right, when it comes to Donald Trump, all bets are off. He is a man with no redeeming qualities; the poster child for the evils of excessive wealth and privilege. A man consumed by lust, greed, fear, and narcissism, he is as effortless in his cruelty as he is proud of ignorance.
By this point, we are all too familiar with the crimes of Donald Trump and the suffering he has inflicted on thousands upon thousands of people, most of them people of color, so it feels fairly appropriate to bust out some harsh language when discussing the man.
After all, as Speaker Pelosi pointed out when she refused to condemn her colleague’s language, it’s “nothing worse than the President has said.”
ADVISOR: Mr. President, they're saying Rashida Tlaib's language was a violation of our norms.
TRUMP (looking at the blueprint for a device that projects racial slurs onto the moon): ok cool thanks
