Yesterday, unabashed political hack and Counselor to the President Kellyanne Conway launched an attack on Representative-Elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The 29-year-old Democratic Socialist has quickly become one of the GOP’s most prominent bugaboos, as the right-wing propaganda machine churns out hit piece after obsessive and vaguely creepy hit piece on her.

Conway is just the latest in a long string of prominent conservatives to go after her and a reminder of how frightened the Republicans are of the freshman congresswoman.

Trump’s former campaign manager went on Fox News and feigned outrage at Ocasio-Cortez for a tweet in which she correctly condemned outgoing White House Chief of Staff John Kelly for his lying and cowardice. Outrageously, Conway insulted AOC by saying she “doesn’t seem to know much about anything.”
This, from the woman who helped elect Donald J. Trump, ignoramus extraordinaire, to the most powerful office in the world.

Now, Ocasio-Cortez has hit back at Trump’s minion, pointing out that Conway has been “engaged in a War on Facts since Inauguration Day.” The statement is a clear reference to Conway’s now-infamous phrase “alternative facts,” but also to a broader pattern of deliberate misinformation Conway has been sowing for years to help her boss cover up his stunning incompetence.
In her new tweet, Ocasio-Cortez added that people attempting to belittle her is exactly what helped her get elected in the first place, despite the odds being heavily stacked against her. She is absolutely correct.
The more Republicans attack Ocasio-Cortez, the more prominent a political figure she becomes, and the more influence she will be able to exert going forward. These bad faith sorties are, so far, a massive boon for her. Plus, she can outwit them all day long.
Keep it up conservatives.

Leveraging those who belittle my capacity is exactly how I defeated a multi-generation, multi-million $ political machine. GOP is even weaker bc their bias has no self-control.https://t.co/QHA66XqInY
