Trump just childishly insulted an ex-Marine U.S. Senator on the way to Army-Navy college football game

President Trump took to Twitter this afternoon to revisit one of his favorite whipping boys, Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), publicly accusing him of having stolen valor and lied about his service during the Vietnam War in a series of bizarre tweets that quickly set social media abuzz.

The president was likely watching Blumenthal on cable news discussing the stunning memos released by the Southern District of New York and the Special Counsel’s office last night which indicate that president committed at least one and likely multiple felonies.

Blumenthal, who is on the Senate Judiciary Committee, received five deferments to avoid fighting in Vietnam and later served in the Marines, but never saw combat. Blumenthal did misrepresent his military service to voters later on and apologized for it.

But seeing as Donald Trump also received five deferments to dodge the draft and instead spent his time carousing with models, even bragging that the risk of contracting a sexually transmitted infection was “his personal Vietnam,” he doesn’t have any room to stand on when it comes to shaming others for their avoidance of military service.

The fact that Trump was literally on his way to the Army-Navy football game is just the icing on the cake of mind-melting insanity.

Trump can hurl all the insults he likes, but that’s not going to save him when the Special Counsel starts handing down indictments.
