President Trump stunned the nation this afternoon when he took to Twitter to post an insulting and disparaging tweet about his former Secretary of State, ex-Exxon CEO Rex Tillerson.
In an unusually vicious Twitter attack, Trump slammed Tillerson for being “dumb as a rock” and for being “lazy as hell” while showering praise on his replacement, Mike Pompeo.
Mike Pompeo is doing a great job, I am very proud of him. His predecessor, Rex Tillerson, didn’t have the mental capacity needed. He was dumb as a rock and I couldn’t get rid of him fast enough. He was lazy as hell. Now it is a whole new ballgame, great spirit at State!

His tweets were undoubtedly provoked by Tillerson’s eye-opening interview with CBS News this morning in which he revealed the president is “undisciplined,” “doesn’t like to read” and “tries to do illegal things.”
This latest show of vitriol is clear evidence that our president is once again having a normal one, as they say on social media. After spending the majority of his morning raging at Special Counsel Mueller, he’s now lashing out in fury at a man he once referred to as one of the “great business leaders of the world” and a “world class dealmaker.”

It just goes to show that there’s nothing that can keep the President from behaving with a modicum of decency when he feels threatened or insulted — and just how vulnerable and insecure he feels as the Special Counsel’s investigation draws to a close.
