Ocasio-Cortez just issued an epic response to FOX News’ 4-person panel discussing her shoes

Ever since she emerged on to the political scene, FOX News and the conservative media at large has been absolutely obsessed with Democratic rising star Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).

Thrilled at having a young woman of color to use as a new boogeyman with which to scare their decaying boomer viewers about the evils of socialism, they’ve gone over her with a fine-tooth comb, looking for anything and everything they could possibly use to turn into red-baiting content.

Their fixation with Ocasio-Cortez crossed the line into absurdity today when the conservative propaganda network assembled a four-person panel for the purpose of discussing…her shoes.

The shoes became infamous on the campaign trail for the wear and tear they endured during her relentless efforts to get out the vote and will be put on display at Cornell University’s Costume and Textile Collection in an exhibit entitled “Women Empowered: Fashions from the Frontline.”

Of course, the FOX panel could only address the celebration of her success with the tired and appallingly disingenuous response that every conservative falls over themselves, frothing at the mouth to bring up every time anyone mentions the word socialism: “but what about VENEEEEEZUELLLAAAAAA?”

“She’s proposing that we bring socialism to our country right now. In Venezuela there are people who can’t afford shoes, don’t have shoes on their feet, because of what socialism has done to their country.”

Comparing the proposals for universal healthcare and free college to full state control of the economy is unfair and incorrect, and they know it — and in any case, half the American people cannot afford to pay food or rent thanks to the politicians supported by FOX News.

Ocasio-Cortez, for her part, laughed the segment off and called them out for being obsessed with her with a series of clever tweets that shows that she can take anything they throw at her:
