Trump just hit the panic button about Mueller in wild, unhinged Twitter tantrum

Ever since the midterm elections stripped him of his House of Representatives majority and delivered a humiliating rebuke from the American people, President Trump’s behavior has grown more and more erratic.

Collapsing into a “cocoon of resentment and bitterness” at the first sign of adversity, he no longer has any interest in performing the functions of his office and instead wallows in front of the television, seething at not getting his way and trying desperately to mask his growing terror at the thought of Special Counsel Mueller’s indictments.

That much was made clear by his Thursday morning Twitter rant, which saw the president repeat his usual Mueller investigation talking points — there’s no collusion, the real collusion was done by Hillary, this is a witch hunt, the people involved worked for Obama, etc — but in an even wilder and unhinged fashion that transparently projects to the nation what’s going on behind the scenes at the White House.

Judging from the reports from the media over the past few days about the President’s emotional state, it’s fairly clear that it is Trump himself who has “gone absolutely nuts” and is spending his time “screaming and shouting at people, horribly threatening them to come up with the answers they want.”

The loss of the House in the midterms means loss of the committees, which means his boot-licking lapdogs like soon-to-be former Intelligence Committee chair Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) won’t be able to abuse their positions to protect him anymore.

As rumors swirl that the final conclusion of the Mueller probe’s investigation into the 2016 Trump-Russia election interference allegations could be coming any day now, expect the president’s Twitter rants to get even worse as the days go by.
