Civil war just broke out as Trump launches insulting attack on Paul Ryan over his criticism

President Trump fired back at House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) this morning over his comments yesterday about the president’s latest project in racism, the ending of birthright citizenship and the repeal of the 14th Amendment.

Yesterday, Ryan publicly shot down the President’s latest proposal in a rare show of criticism against the president, stating “Well, you obviously cannot do that. You know, as a conservative, I’m a believer in following the plain text of the Constitution, and I think in this case the 14th Amendment is pretty clear, and that would involve a very, very lengthy constitutional process.”

President Trump did not take too kindly to that statement, taking to Twitter this morning and ordering Paul Ryan to shut up and focus on the midterms while setting the stage to dump all the blame for any losses on the current House leadership.

It appears that the new “Republican Majority” he’s referring to is that on the Supreme Court following the ascension of accused rapist and drunken degenerate Brett Kavanaugh earlier this month, as referenced in one of his earlier tweets.

His words are more proof that the fantasy of the Supreme Court as an ideologically nonpartisan is well and truly dead; Trump is confident that SCOTUS will support whatever discriminatory nonsense they throw at him because they share his ideological goals, and nobody should have any illusions that they won’t stop him out of the goodness of their hearts or any allegiance to any intangible principles or ideals.

We are witnessing the slow but inexorable collapse of our institutions and the rights which our country was founded on, and the only thing we can possibly do to stop it is to vote all the Republicans out next Tuesday. The future of our republic depends on it.
