Rapper Kanye West has officially disavowed President Trump and the conservative movement.
In a stunning about-face, the hip-hop superstar and critically acclaimed music producer denied that he had any involvement with the creation of “Blexit,” or the “Black Exit” movement created by Turning Point USA‘s Candace Owens to encourage African-Americans to leave the Democratic Party.
Saying that he had been lied to and exploited, West announced his retirement from his extremely brief and very unproductive foray into Trumpian politics.

It was immensely painful for many of Kanye’s fans to see the man who famously (and correctly) accused President Bush of not caring about African-Americans suddenly hobnobbing with white nationalists and their grifter lackeys.
West has stirred up controversy again and again over the past few months with his bizarre rants about slavery and his inexplicable embrace of right-wing politics, culminating in a truly surreal Oval Office visit with Trump.
It’s clear that somebody finally sat Kanye down and explained to him what Trump and his cronies are really all about — and he got the message.
Welcome back to reality, Kanye.
