Obama’s CIA director just leveled Trump over his response to attempted bombings

Former CIA director John Brennan took to Twitter this morning to admonish the President for continuing his un-American attacks on the media on the same day that an improvised explosive device was sent to the headquarters of CNN.

The package was addressed to former CIA director John Brennan, who is now a frequent contributor on MSNBC.

It appears that the would-be assassin got his “fake news networks” mixed up. Just hours after the packages were discovered, President Trump held a rally at which he admonished the mainstream media for shirking their responsibility to be “civil.”

“The media also has a responsibility to set a civil tone and to stop the endless hostility and constant negative and oftentimes false attacks and stories. Have to do it,”

His accusations are of course preposterous since he has spent a significant portion of his now-daily rallies attacking and smearing the media as the “enemy of the people” and demonizing Democrats with absurd conspiracy theories.

Brennan issued a powerful, brutal response to the Republican president in which he publicly chastised him and demanded that he take responsibility for the deadly consequences his divisive rhetoric almost had:
