The caravan of migrants fleeing poverty and the violent repression of Honduras’ US-backed right-wing despot has been the leading story on nearly every news network as the corporate cable networks once again play right into Trump and his cronies’ despicable efforts to inflame the fears of racists.

The overblown and shamefully discriminatory fears of the right-wing were mocked by Ellen Show producer Andy Lassner, who took to Twitter to joke that he was much more worried about women like Melania Trump obtaining citizenship in this country by marrying rich racists than of any group of humans who simply seek the opportunity and shelter that the rapacious foreign policy of the United States has denied them in their homeland.

I’m way more afraid of another Melania getting in to this country than I am of any caravan of human beings seeking asylum.

This off-the-cuff remark caught the attention of the First Lady’s spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham, who went to bat for Melania “I Don’t Care” Trump, whose “Be Best” anti-bullying campaign has been widely mocked its half-hearted efforts, especially considering the near-constant bullying by President Trump against everyone and anything that provokes his ire.
Grisham pithily invited Lassner to attend a kindness roundtable with children at the White House, since he was being so mean to Melania online.

Hi @andylassner @flotus is hosting children at the White House today to talk to them about kindness … should I save you a seat? https://t.co/qi4AxqfRZI

Lassner turned the invitation right back around, gratefully accepting and relishing the opportunity to call out the anti-bullying FLOTUS on her endorsement of the racist “birther” theories her husband spread about former President Obama or her choice to wear an “I Don’t Care” jacket while visiting children torn away from their parents by the jack-booted thugs in Trump’s beloved Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)
Yes!!
Will she be talking about how she pushed her husband’s theory that our first black president was born in Kenya?
What about her “I don’t care, do you jacket” worn while babies were being ripped away from parents at the border?
What time should I arrive?
Is it dressy? https://t.co/WFZWH3A2S9

The back-and-forth continued for a few more tweets, but since Lassner got the last word in, by the unwritten rules of Twitter he has been declared the winner of the bout.
You may want to check your facts before you get here, I’m happy to brief you upon arrival.

Lassner’s comments really hit home how hypocritical the First Lady’s effort to whitewash her image and by extension her husband’s viciously cruel administration really is. Kudos to him for taking the First Lady and her lackey to task.
