Michael Cohen, the former longtime attorney and fixer for Donald Trump, has quickly become one of the largest thorns in the president’s side in recent months. If there is any single person with exhaustive knowledge of Trump’s misdeeds and criminal conduct it’s Cohen, and now the two of them are avowed enemies.
President Trump was hit with another barrage of bad Cohen news today, as it’s been revealed that Cohen and his attorneys met with a group of law enforcement agents from the state and federal level who are investigating Trump’s businesses and “charity.”

Prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York — the same office that previously charged Cohen in August, leading to multiple guilty pleas — were in attendance at today’s meeting, as well as individuals from the New York Attorney General’s office.
CNN reported on the meeting and witnessed Cohen leaving his attorney’s office where the meeting was held. Earlier in the day, the lead prosecutor for Cohen’s case was seen entering the office. While it’s still unclear what the purpose of the meeting was, CNN notes that the investigators are actively probing Trump organizations which Cohen had a hand in. Trump’s children are involved in much of business activity.
The president and Cohen have been engaged in much-publicized falling out, punctuated most notably by Cohen’s statement during his guilty plea that Trump personally directed him to violate campaign finance laws by delivering hush money payments to women on behalf of then-candidate Trump. Not surprisingly, Trump denied the accusation. More recently, Cohen issued another oblique rebuke of his former boss by switching from the Republican to Democratic Party.

Additionally, Mueller has been cooperating with Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation. The details of his cooperation, with both Mueller and the other investigators, is sure to emerge soon and when it does the Trump family’s criminality will finally be fully exposed to the world.
