Attorney Michael Avenatti joined the growing chorus of people indignant over the sham FBI probe of the accusations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh today, calling it “no investigation at all.”

Avenatti, who first became known as the lawyer for Trump’s ex-mistress Stormy Daniels, is now representing Julie Swetnick who has submitted a sworn affidavit under penalty of perjury that Kavanaugh was present at a party where she was drugged and gang-raped by his high-school buddies.

Apparently, the Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee were not convinced enough of the credibility of Swetnick’s charges to even bother to have the FBI interview her or a single one of the six witnesses that Avenatti offered to produce.

Her liability for perjury due to her sworn affidavit apparently meany nothing to a group of men who have ignored Kavanaugh’s multiple proven lies during his testimony.

Avenatti condemned the limited scope and duration of the FBI investigation in an angry tweet after the FBI report was delivered to the White House.

The crusading attorney cut straight to the heart of the duplicitous Republican strategy with his last line. The investigation was never intended to be anything more than a public fig leaf that would allow Republican Senators nervous about voting for Kavanaugh’s confirmation in the face of an outraged female electorate to confirm the deeply flawed nominee.

Avenatti also made sure that Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Senator Chuck Grassley knows exactly what he thinks of him after this massive con job on the American public.

Avenatti rightly calls out Grassley for his role in what Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) has called “the final blow” in destroying the Senate. Stay tuned to see how this formerly august institution votes on the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh after all the senators have had the chance to review the deeply flawed and roundly condemned FBI report.

Make sure to contact your own elected officials and any senator that may still be on the fence to let them know what you think.
