Today, President Trump addressed the United Nations General Assembly, and his worst fear finally came true as the room burst out into laughter as Trump attempted to toot his own horn and list all the “historic achievements” he tries to will into existence by repeating them often enough.
“In less than two years, my administration has accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country” said Trump in a preposterous abuse of the truth that elicited the response it deserves from the rest of the world: mockery.
When asked about it later, our hypersensitive president burrowed his head even deeper in the sand and achieved unheard of levels of “I’m Not Mad, I’m Actually Laughing” by trying to argue that he expected them to laugh.
Trump earlier today when foreign leaders laughed at his claim about his presidency being the most successful: "I didn't expect that reaction, but that's OK."
Several hours later: "Oh it was great. Well, that was meant to get some laughter."

It just goes to show that no matter how petty the issue at hand is, the President is entirely incapable, or perhaps simply unwilling, to accept any kind of truth that might disrupt the self-validating world of delusions that he’s carefully constructed for himself in his head — and that is terrible news for the rest of us.
