President Trump escalated his embrace of far-right wing extremism on Thursday when he met with one of the leading promoters behind the absurd “Q Anon” conspiracy in the Oval Office.
QAnon refers to an anonymous account on the notorious image boards and online neo-Nazi coven 4chan/8chan that purports to be a senior military official or White House staffer.
The story goes that “Q” is exposing a dastardly conspiracy by Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, George Soros, and the “deep state” to launch a coup against President Trump and conceal an enormous Democrat and Hollywood-run child sex ring.
The identity of “Q” is likely several people, though popular theories range from anyone from disgraced National Security Adviser Michael Flynn to JFK Jr, who they believe faked his own death and has been a Trump supporter since the 1980s.
For some inexplicable reason, “Q” YouTuber Lionel Lebron was invited to the White House and posed for photographs with the President, sharing them to Instagram with the caption “There simply are no words to explicate this profound honor.”
While Lionel didn’t speak with the president about “Q,” he assured his viewers in a video that “I think we all know he knows about it.”
This is the second far-right conspiracy theory that Trump has embraced just this week.
President Trump turned heads on Wednesday when he announced he was ordering his Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, to “closely study” the “large-scale killing of white farmers” in South Africa, which is a disgusting white supremacist conspiracy theory promoted by neo-Nazis like the Daily Stormer‘s Andrew Anglin.
It is beyond infuriating to see the President giving the time of day to this shameless grifter who spends his days exploiting the paranoid delusions of the ignorant — though since that’s how Trump won the presidency, perhaps it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that he’s embracing his fellow leeches.
