Evangelical preacher and prominent Trump supporter Franklin Graham made headlines this week when he compared former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton to German dictator and mass murderer Adolf Hitler over a comment Clinton made at a pro-abortion rights rally.
Chelsea spoke at a “Rise Up For Roe” event being held to marshal opposition to the nomination of far-right extremist Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, where he will likely vote to overturn the landmark Roe V. Wade decision and strip abortion rights away from millions of Americans, despite having attended his daughter’s basketball games.
During her speech, Clinton pointed out that legalizing abortion opened the doors for women to access opportunities they couldn’t have before. No longer was an unplanned pregnancy a death sentence for women’s careers.

“It is not a disconnected fact … that American women entering the labor force from 1973 to 2009 added $3.5 trillion to our economy. The net, new entrance of women — that is not disconnected from the fact that Roe became the law of the land in January of 1973″ said Chelsea, highlighting that not only is legalizing abortion the right thing to do and that autonomy over their bodies is a right that all women deserve to have, it’s also the socially productive thing to do.
The notorious misogynist took to Twitter to compare her to Hitler and the Holocaust over her fairly uncontroversial statement.
.@ChelseaClinton, daughter of former President @BillClinton & @HillaryClinton, claims that legalizing abortion added trillions of dollars to the economy. What a lie. Hitler probably also claimed that killing the Jews would be good for their economy. 1/3 https://t.co/q381oYx7nP

Clinton, ever the classy lady, decided to respond with facts, not fury.
Goodness. In <24 hours, compared to slave owners & Hitler for supporting women’s human rights & health. She would have had every right to get angry and respond rudely to Graham’s ludicrously offensive tweet, but once again she took the high road and made sure that everyone knew the truth about her statements.
Her unshakeable kindness and politeness is a breath of fresh air in this age of vicious contempt, and we applaud her for both her steadfast efforts to fight for women’s rights.
