Melania just stuck her nose in Trump’s feud with LeBron. Trump’s going to have a heart attack

Late last night, President Trump decided to wade into a new feud with a black sports legend, still upset about the fairly tame criticisms of him that LeBron James shared with CNN’s Don Lemon during an interview last week.

Perhaps it was the combination of three of Trump’s biggest irritants — criticism of himself, CNN, and outspoken Black athletes that proved too much for our notoriously thin-skinned president to ignore.

It’s an usually bad look for the President, who is attacking LeBron and Don Lemon for a segment that focused primarily on Lebron’s wonderful new school for impoverished youths which provides free tuition, two free meals a day, free transportation, and other benefits that dramatically improve the lives of its students.

Which might be why we were treated to the surprising sight of Melania Trump publicly crossing her husband, praising LeBron for his generosity and, in a statement dripping with subtext, asked that those involved have an “open dialogue” instead of childish Twitter attacks from the world’s most powerful man.

The president certainly won’t appreciate his wife’s statement, especially since it is a painful reminder that Donald Trump’s own charity organization has been forced to close down after being exposed as being nothing more than a money laundering and tax evasion front.

With everything that’s going on in the world and in this nation, it’s disgusting to see the president engaging in such petty attacks against a man who has done more charity work and made a bigger difference in the lives of the needy than the entire Trump family ever has, and it’s very refreshing to see his wife finally speaking out and trying to rein her husband in.
