Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe has announced a slew of twelve new indictments today against Russian officials for their involvement in the conspiracy to interfere in the 2016 election on behalf of President Donald Trump.
The indictments include notorious “Guccifer 2.0,” the hacker or group of Russian military intelligence (GRU) hackers which broke into the Democratic National Committee email servers, stole files, and released them to the public through an intermediary website called “DCLeaks.”
This brings the number of indictments in the Mueller probe to 32 – quite a large crowd of people to be involved in a conspiracy that the President and his Russian accomplices insist on denying never existed. VOX notes that “four former Trump advisers, 14 Russian nationals, three Russian companies, one California man, and one London-based lawyer” have all been indicted so far in the case.
