Daughter of the Crypt Keeper Kellyanne Conway was one of the first members of Trump’s cabinet to deceive the American public when she rebranded the word “lies” as “alternative facts.”
Since that PR move, Conway has been a staple in the Trump White House and one of the few originals to survive the turmoil and constant turnover of his first year. And his second year, but who’s counting?
Mrs. Conway has remained silent on her husband’s opinions and continues to make public appearances for Trump, but her Wednesday Twitter move suggests she might be the latest defector of the imploding administration.
A Twitter account called @TrumpsAlert exists for a singular purpose – to follow the activity of Donald Trump and his closest allies on Twitter. It will let followers know when a member of Team Trump follows, unfollows, likes, or retweets any other user on the social media site.
That’s why the world was utterly shocked when Kellyanne Conway liked a post by Morning Joe cohost Mika Brzezinski, one which criticized the horrendous immigration policy Trump enacted to hold children hostage for the sake of his border wall:

Brzezinski’s original tweet reads:
“You will forever be remembered as the president who traumatized children and only turned back when the Publicity [sic] turned sour..”
Nothing in Brzezinski’s tweet could be misconstrued for anything other than a direct criticism of Donald Trump, even if she did not use his name.
So, was this just a slip of Conway’s skeletal fingers as she sucked the souls out of children to sustain her own life force? She’ll certainly deny it if she comes to regret the interaction, but if she has grown tired of defending the indefensible that would leave Trump nearly out of key allies.
Most new members of his cabinet, save the offensive Italian stereotype Rudy Giuliani, have avoided public forums for fear of having to answer for Trump, after watching him throw every employee under the bus to save his own hide.
If he loses the last of his vocal supporters, it might be enough to unravel the madman just in time for midterms, making the most difficult part of Election Day waiting in line to vote.
Not a bad trade for the preservation of democracy.
