Stormy Daniels’ lawyer just taunted Rudy Giuliani with cryptic tweet about Rudy’s porn habits

Michael Avenatti has emerged as an unlikely public face of the resistance.  The pugnacious lawyer came to prominence representing the president’s porn star mistress, Stormy Daniels, in her quest to tell her story about their affair.  While he’s mostly managed to stay in his lane, his opinions and his very public – and successful – battle with President Trump have elevated him to folk hero status on the left.

They’ve also made him enemy number one in the right-wing media. The right’s contempt for Avenatti kicked-up a notch when the president hired Rudy Giuliani as his lead lawyer, and the former mayor of New York immediately went on the offensive.

Back in May, Giuliani called Avenatti a “make believe lawyer” on Fox News, telling the primetime princess of propaganda, Laura Ingraham, that “I don’t think he is a real lawyer.  He’s a make-believe lawyer. He’s got all kinds of lawsuits. I think the guy is trying to bail himself out with this case.”

Avenatti refuses to be intimidated, and he’s hounded Giuliani at every turn.  The former mayor of New York lowered himself ever more last week when he attacked Stormy Daniels herself in the vilest, misogynistic terms imaginable.

“Excuse me, when you look at Stormy Daniels,” he told an audience in Israel on June 6th before pausing.”

“I know Donald Trump. Look at his three wives, right?  Beautiful women, classy women, women of great substance. But Stormy Daniels?”

“I respect all human beings. I even have to respect, you know, criminals,” he continued, “But I’m sorry, I don’t respect a porn star the way I respect a career woman, or a woman of substance, or a woman who has great respect for herself as a woman, and as a person. And isn’t going to sell her body for sexual exploitation. So, Stormy, you want to bring a case? Let me cross-examine you.”

Michael Avenatti called Giuliani an “absolute pig” in response, and later apologized to pigs for associating them with Giuliani.  He also pointed out the huge flaw with Giuliani’s rationale.

“You know, when Donald Trump was trying to get in the pants of my client, he didn’t tell my client that he disrespected her, or that she wasn’t credible or she wasn’t intelligent,” Avenatti told Joy Reid on MSNBC Saturday. “When Mr. Trump was trying to get in the pants of Ms. McDougal, he didn’t tell her that he disrespected her, that she wasn’t intelligent or that she wasn’t entitled to credibility.”

But he wasn’t done – not by a long shot.  On Saturday, he also asked the public for help uncovering Giuliani’s internet viewing habits.

“I’d like to know the last time Mr. Giuliani viewed pornography,” he said. “Something tells me it wasn’t years or decades ago. So if there’s anyone in the United States that could help me answer that question, please provide that information to me because I’d like to make it known.”  He followed that up with a tweet making the same request.

Today, he left a cryptic statement on Twitter hinting that he may have hit pay dirt.

“The sheer power of the Internet and Twitter never ceases to amaze me…” he tweeted in response to his initial inquiry.
