Trump just lashed out over “missing Melania” controversy in unhinged tweet storm

The conspiracy theories seem to have gotten under the skin of the insecure Commander-in-Chief.

Despite the fact that First Lady Melania Trump been in public view only once since May 10th, the president has once again taken to Twitter to insist that everything is fine.

After getting what was billed as a minor surgery, conspiracy theories began to circulate as to the whereabouts of Mrs. Trump. Some suggested that she moved back to New York, others that she is cooperating with Special Counsel Robert Mueller, and one even implied that she is currently working with the Obamas on a tell-all book about the Trump presidency.

Ridiculous as some of these may be, her absence is still notable and garnering national attention; enough to warrant a multi-tweet response from her husband.

While rumors suggesting that the president’s wife might have left him would otherwise be the stuff of tabloid trash, the fact that Trump has been embroiled in a months-long scandal over his hush money payment for his affair with porn star Stormy Daniels – which took place only months after Melania gave birth to their son, Barron – coupled with Melania’s blatant displeasure with the news gives credence to the otherwise dubious notion.

That, and “walking merrily along” sounds about as believable as the fairy tale book that he stole the phrase from.

In any case, her absence is justified; not many people would want to voluntarily be seen with Trump these days, either.
