President Trump’s self-assigned personal propaganda network at FOX News waded into his feud with the Super Bowl champions when they chose to use an image of several Eagles players “kneeling” for the national anthem in a sad attempt to accuse them of having knelt for the anthem and thus somehow deserving of the disrespect and the angry tweets that the President is hurling at them.

However, the sycophantic network’s pathetic attempts to ape Russian state-run media blew up in their faces when Eagles players quickly began calling them out.

Zach Ertz, the Eagles’ star tight end who caught the go-ahead touchdown in Super Bowl LII, was furious at the shameless attempt to smear him and his teammates – and publicly called them out.

This can’t be serious…. Praying before games with my teammates, well before the anthem, is being used for your propaganda?! Just sad, I feel like you guys should have to be better than this… https://t.co/kYeyH2zXdK

While no Eagles players actually knelt for the anthem last year, their team is one of the most vocal about social justice issues in the league and one of the most active in charity and off-field community-building endeavors.
The vast majority of the players elected not to go to the White House following their historic win in February – and it’s clear that decision has gotten under the president’s skin, who cannot abide being spurned by anyone.
It’s absolutely disgusting to see FOX News weaponize a heartfelt moment between teammates as ammunition for the President’s petty and idiotic culture war against black NFL players – and wonderfully refreshing to see them forced to delete their tweets and eat their words.
