Trump just leveled a stunning attack on ex-CIA Director in unhinged morning tweet storm

President Trump is getting fairly predictable in his tweeting pattern. Today, he once again renewed his attacks on the intelligence community with an assault on former CIA Director during the Obama administration John Brennan.

As part of his overall strategy to discredit the law enforcement and investigative agencies that are looking into multiple allegations of obstruction of justice and collusion with now several different foreign powers, including Russia, to interfere in the 2016 presidential election, Trump took to Twitter this morning with a quote from his favorite morning TV news show, the sycophantic folks at Fox & Friends.

You would think that as a connoisseur of finely crafted falsehoods, Trump would be gazing admiringly at Brennan if he truly thought that Brennan was the destructive liar that Dan Bongino labels him.

However, the person attacking and discrediting the intelligence community on an almost daily basis is Trump himself, not Brennan. This is Trump practicing psychological projection yet again, attributing his own beliefs, actions, and thought patterns to someone else because either he can’t possibly imagine anyone thinking any other way or simply as a preemptive move to accuse someone else before he himself is stuck with the charges.

Trump was likely responding to the brutal op-ed that Brennan wrote for The Washington Post yesterday entitled “I will speak out until integrity returns to the White House,” wherein the former CIA Director vowed to continue to loudly proclaim his opposition to a president who “is failing to live up to the standards that we should all expect of a president.”

If anyone doubts that President Trump is feeling cornered by all of the latest developments in the multiple investigations into himself and his cronies, his attack on Brennan comes along with another morning tweet, this one his daily denial of collusion and labeling the entirely justified probe by Special Counsel Robert Mueller as a “Witch Hunt.”
