A woman was shot dead tonight at a Georgia high school graduation ceremony, two injured


Not even a full day has passed since the massacre of 10 people in a shooting at a high school in Santa Fe, Texas and already news is breaking about another shooting at Mt. Zion High School in Clayton County, Georgia just south of Atlanta.

According to preliminary reports from local broadcasters, one person was killed and two others were wounded when shots were fired in the parking lot of the Mt. Zion High School performing arts center where a graduation ceremony for the Perry Center, an alternative school was taking place.

A woman in her 40’s was shot three times in the chest and transported to Southern Regional Hospital where she was pronounced dead, according to WXIA 11 Alive TV.

The TV news operation also reported that a second victim, a 21-year-old was brought to Atlanta Medical Center with gunshot wounds to the leg. A third victim was a pregnant woman who was not shot but who was injured after being pushed during the shootings.

Details of the shooting are still very sketchy with no other information about the victims or a potential suspect in the killing and injuries yet available.
