Roseanne just launched a grotesque attack on Stormy Daniels. Daniels’ response is epic

Stormy Daniels, the adult film star and director who has dominated national headlines over the past few months with her lurid tales of an affair with the man who is now president and his unending legal efforts to silence her, has made it clear that she’s proud of what she does – and won’t take any shaming from anyone.

Roseanne Barr, the Trump-loving actress of the newly revived television show of the same name, decided to poke the hornet’s nest this morning when she took an uncalled for cheap shot at Daniels, engaging in the disgusting kind of slut-shaming that Americans on both sides of the aisle are far too willing to engage in – and all to defend the honor of serial sexual predator Donald Trump.

Daniels has won over 28 awards, including an induction into the AVN Hall of Fame, for her work as a director and performer of adult entertainment. She loves what she does and is very good at it; to say that she is simply known for anal sex is not only dismissive and demeaning of another artist’s career but obviously laden with self-righteous judgment towards sex workers.

Daniels wasn’t about to let that one slide.

Daniels is referring to Roseanne’s infamous botching of the National Anthem during a July 25th, 1990 doubleheader baseball game between the Cincinnati Reds and the San Diego Padres – one of the lowlights of Barr’s career and an apt comparison for Daniels to use.

While it’s all very fun to giggle about butt sex, there is absolutely nothing wrong with performing in adult films, and we shouldn’t tolerate the shaming or persecution of any kind of sex work. Daniels has just as much integrity as a performer as Roseanne Barr or anyone else does and deserves to be treated with the respect she is due. For Roseanne to pull out the “anal sex” card as a cheap shot in a Twitter fight over her own disturbing political views just goes to highlight her lack of creativity.

Here’s the full thread that led to this interaction. The original post Daniels quote-tweeted is gone because that Twitter user has been suspended, likely for violating harassment policies.
