Oh, boy. Just when you think Kanye West couldn’t possibly get any worse, he logs back onto Twitter.

After a morning spent tweeting his support for the racist, misogynist, homophobic Donald Trump, Kanye has further buried himself under a pile of garbage with this little tweet attacking former President Barack Obama.
Obama was in office for eight years and nothing in Chicago changed.

“Obama was in office for eight years and nothing in Chicago changed,” the wildly unhinged and totally cancelled hip hop artist tweeted.
There is a laundry list of reasons why life in Chicago hasn’t improved in the last decade, but almost none of them point back directly to the president of all 50 states. Trump is the most inept leader in modern American history, but as president, even he is not single-handedly responsible for the failure of individual cities.
He does, however, continue to ignore Puerto Rico months after a major hurricane decimated the island, and he recently pulled funding for bottled water from the thirsty, lead-poisoned residents of Flint, Michigan.

Kanye is capitalizing on this moment, of course, like any member of the Kardashian/Jenner clan would. But he’s also probably feeling the sting of losing the support of most of his famous compatriots after the litany of pro-Trump tweets he unleashed this morning.

It all started when we came across this tweet from a twitter user named after a character from Nickelodeon’s The Fairly OddParents:
rihanna unfollowed kanye so kanye is officially cancelled
— chip skylark (@scotty_13_) April 25, 2018
“Rihanna unfollowed Kanye so Kanye is officially cancelled,” ‘Chip Skylark’ tweeted.
A search to verify the validity of of ‘Chip’s’ claim revealed that Rihanna isn’t the only major artist to disavow Kanye – most of America’s biggest stars joined her protest.
Fellow Washington Press writer Brian Tyler Cohen pieced together the list (so far) in the following tweet:
Unfollowed Kanye West *so far*…

Ariana Grande, BTS (a major K-Pop boy band), Drake, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik (both former members of One Direction) Jaden Smith, Janelle Monáe, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Kendrick Lamar, Lana del Rey, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, The Weekend, and queer pop sensation Troye Sivan are just some of the stars who formally unfollowed Kanye.

The website doesfollow.com was used to verify whether the artists currently followed Kanye, as well as if the unfollow was a “change” (meaning they had followed him before).
The Kardashian/Jenner empire has come under fire previously for their approval of Trump. Caitlyn Jenner was initially hailed as a trans rights hero when she came out publicly in 2015. She subsequently went on to support then-candidate Trump, in spite of both his and his VP Mike Pence’s virulent anti-trans positions.
Jenner only recently walked back her support of the hate-mongering president when he tried YET AGAIN to impose a transgender military ban. “As far as trans issues, this administration has been the worst ever,” she told Newsweek in March of this year.
Can we please cancel the Kardashians now, too?
