French President Emmanuel Macron is visiting the United States and this morning he got his latest taste of the boorish, rude man we’ve elected to lead our country. During a photo op in the Oval Office, journalists bombarded the two world leaders with questions. One, in particular, slipped out of an ABC News reporter’s mouth and right under Trump’s infamously thin skin.

“Mr. President what about Michael Cohen? Are you considering a pardon for Michael Cohen,” asked Jon Karl of ABC.
The president’s facial expression immediately soured and he pushed out a “thank you very much” dripping with irritation. “Stupid! Stupid question,” Trump added, demonstrating once again that he has zero respect for the free press and the role it plays in maintaining a healthy democracy.

The question, in fact, is not stupid, given the fact that the FBI recently raided the Trump Tower office of Michael Cohen, who is the longtime personal attorney and friend of the president who paid $130,000 in hush money to adult film star Stormy Daniels to cover up her. Furthermore, Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders refused to deny yesterday that the White House is considering a pardon for Cohen.

When Trump snapped at the reporter for his “stupid question,” President Macron seemed almost amused by Trump’s childish behavior, smirking and raising his eyebrows as one might after observing a toddler make a cheeky comment to his parents. Clearly, Macron isn’t impressed by our president.
A reporter asked Trump if he would pardon Michael Cohen and he snapped back, "Stupid question."
