Trump just attacked media over his childish nicknames. Maggie Haberman’s response is spot on

President Trump took a break from attacking The New York Times this morning to attack The Washington Post instead for a refreshing change of pace.

Apparently embarrassed by being outed for using cultural references to TV shows from the 1950’s and early 1960’s, the president denies saying anything to anyone about his pet names for his Attorney General and the AG’s deputy.

That his denials would be unbelievable coming as they do from a president who lies five to six times more often than earth spins on its axis each day was proven by the New York Times reporter whom Trump spent the earlier portion of his morning lambasting and denigrating.

Maggie Haberman, the Times‘ chief White House correspondent, came to the defense of her rival newspaper’s reporting with a tweet confirming the mendacity of Trump’s latest protestations.

As a reporter who spends a great deal of time in the White House and around the president in his daily semi-public appearances, Haberman has first-hand knowledge of Trump’s behavior that the average person would never get. Plus, she has daily access to the White House staff who can overhear the president in his unguarded moments.

Now who are you going to believe: a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist or the man who would call reporters pretending to be his own publicist to spread lies inflating the amount of his wealth in order to be included on the Forbes’ 400 list of wealthiest Americans?
