James Comey just took a brilliant swipe at Trump in morning tweet

In anticipation of his book, “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies and Leadership,” James Comey took a less than subtle swipe at the president and his glaring lack of “ethical leadership.”

In a Sunday morning tweet, the former FBI Director who was fired by Trump explained that his book draws from the experiences across three administrations—but it was his description of one in particular that left the internet cheering.

Add your name to millions demanding Congress take action on the President’s crimes. IMPEACH TRUMP & PENCE!

“My book is about ethical leadership & draws on stories from my life & lessons I learned from others,” Comey’s tweet reads. “3 presidents are in my book: 2 help illustrate the values at the heart of ethical leadership; 1 serves as a counterpoint. I hope folks read the whole thing and find it useful.”

Excerpts of the book have made headlines recently, although the book itself is not due out until Tuesday. One such passage likens the president to a mob boss given his pension for demanding loyalty “like Sammy the Bull’s Cosa Nostra induction ceremony.”

The excerpt is in reference to Trump’s infamous “loyalty pledge,” to which Comey attested at a congressional hearing.

“My common sense told me what’s going on here is, he’s looking to get something in exchange for granting my request to stay in the job,” Comey told senators.

Trump, for his part, has grown increasingly agitated with Comey, culminating in an unhinged Twitter rant this very morning.

If nothing else, Trump’s words prove Comey’s: there is a glaring void of ethical leadership in the White House.
