Only days after Donald Trump Jr. announced his divorce from wife Vanessa, another top Trump surrogate is calling it quits.
Former New York City Mayor and a cybersecurity task force adviser Rudy Giuliani and his wife of more than a decade, Judith, have announced their separation. The couple got married in 2003 – the third marriage for each.
“It is with great sadness I can confirm that Judith and I are divorcing,” Giuliani said. “We hope to do this as amicably as possible, and hope that people will respect the privacy of our children at this time.”
“In these divorce situations, you cannot place blame. It is 50/50. There are problems on both sides,” he added. “We will have to divide our properties in New York and Palm Beach.”
Judith filed a contested divorce this morning in Manhattan Supreme Court in anticipation of a fight over their assets.
The announcement comes on the heels of Trump Jr.’s separation from his wife of 12 years. The news coincided with a report that he had an affair with actress Aubrey O’Day after meeting on the set of The Celebrity Apprentice in 2011.
It’s ironic that so many high profile Republicans in the Trump administration who sanctimoniously preach about family values for the rest of us can’t manage to keep their own relationships from crumbling.
