How else can you describe Trump’s behavior when it comes to Russia, particularly in light of the bombshell news being broadcast on Russian state TV today?
You would think that a president under investigation for colluding with Russia to win the election would at least pretend to not do everything in his power to aid our international adversary after their use of banned chemical weapons on the soil of our closest ally, but Trump defies logic by simply doing Putin’s bidding at every opportunity.
Thus it’s less shocking than sadly depressing to hear a spokeswoman for Russia’s Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, tell Russian state media that the 60 Russian “diplomats” just expelled from the United States after the nerve gas incident in London will be replaced by 60 new “diplomats”/intelligence agents as soon as possible.
Zakharova attributes the news to an unnamed senior administration official, who told the Russians that “the doors are open.” Unlike the United Kingdom, the US is not placing limits on the size of Russia’s diplomatic mission to our country, enabling the replacement of the 60 expelled Borises and Natashas.
With a betrayal of American interests this great coming directly from the White House, one would think that the story would have been uncovered by one of the major media players at a broadcast or cable news network, or perhaps by a major national newspaper like The New York Times or The Washington Post.
Instead, the story broke on Twitter from the account of Julia Davis, a writer, filmmaker, investigative reporter, Russian media analyst, and the creator of RussianMediaMonitor.com.
#Russia's state TV reports that an unnamed high-level White House source quietly told the Russians that the number of Russian diplomats in the U.S. is not being cut (they can send 60 other diplomats to replace the ones being expelled). They quote the source: "The doors are open." pic.twitter.com/1GgaGHUdQD

Davis has made it her mission to watch Russian state TV in order to debunk the lies and propaganda that it feeds the Russian populace, a mission equivalent to watching Fox News all day long and counting the Trump administration’s lies.
In her analysis of this latest bombshell news, Davis shows how the Kremlin is using the US position as a weapon against the UK, saying that the White House has tricked the British into thinking that it is supporting their expulsion retaliation when it is actually leaving its ally dangling alone in the wind.
#Russia's state TV is using these expulsions to demonstrate that Trump "tricked the UK," who is "standing all alone" in #Skripal case. Remember how the Russians said they would seek to find & widen the cracks in our coalitions? They're doing exactly that.https://t.co/5oTotjxMx8

Given that it is in Russia’s own interest to see the long-standing Western alliance against it weaken and crumble, this latest move by Trump simply proves that our own president continues to take his cues from the people who placed him in the Oval Office to begin with, blithely following the orders from his puppet master Putin.
