David Hogg just won his first major victory against Fox News

The modern Republican Party thrives on lies and cruelty. They make their arguments in bad faith, with nothing but their own profit and power in mind. It’s this toxic ethos that has led to their recent, inexcusable mistreatment survivors of the horrific Parkland school shooting.

After their teachers and classmates were brutally gunned down by a shooter wielding an AR-15-style rifle, the students became activists pushing for immediate, meaningful gun reform. In response, conservatives launched an all-out assault on their credibility and character.

One of the worst attacks came from Fox News host and cryptofascist water carrier Laura Ingraham. Apparently, she and her NRA-beholden bosses are so worried about the Parkland teens accomplishing their goals that they’ve decided to switch from criticizing them, to outright bullying them.

Ingraham posted a link to an article which she briefly summarized, mocking Parkland student David Hogg because his admission application was rejected by four schools.

Hogg has been one of the most vocal of the Parkland activists, and as such has become something of a punching base for the frothing MAGA hordes. Ingraham’s attack is nothing more than petty, pathetic mockery of a boy who has been through unimaginable horrors and emerged stronger and braver for it. It shows that the activism is working and has gun manufacturers terrified.

Hogg, not one to be easily intimidated, hit back hard by shaming Ingraham’s advertisers and calling for a boycott of her show. The move shows intelligence as well as the fact that these students always choose the high road. Hogg didn’t insult Ingraham, he went straight at her sources of income.

Add your name to millions demanding Congress take action on the President’s crimes. IMPEACH TRUMP & PENCE!

Shortly after making the post, Hogg scored his first major win. #3 on the list, Nutrish, responded to his tweet and said that the company is in the process of removing their adds from Ingraham’s program.

Nutrish is a pet food company that falls under the umbrella of celebrity chef Rachel Ray’s empire. They should be commended for their bold move. Fox News and cowards like Ingraham only start to act properly when their profits are put on the line. Hopefully, more companies follow suit and abandon this hateful television show and its destructive parent network.
