One would think watching your fellow students die at the hands of a bloodthirsty gunman would be the most difficult part of surviving the tragedy. Thanks to the loons at Fox News, the Parkland students are facing an intense backlash, experiencing bullying that could make even Trump blush.
Yesterday, Fox News host Laura Ingraham lashed out at David Hogg, one of the most prominent faces of the March for Our Lives movement, and mocked his rejection from several colleges. It was an incredibly pathetic, incredibly low blow, even for someone as morally bankrupt as Ingraham.
David Hogg Rejected By Four Colleges To Which He Applied and whines about it. (Dinged by UCLA with a 4.1 GPA…totally predictable given acceptance rates.) https://t.co/wflA4hWHXY

In response, Hogg compiled a list of her advertisers and tweeted them out to his followers (with helpful retweets from fellow Parkland survivors) to put pressure on the advertisers. The internet picked up on his boycott call, and since this morning four separate advertisers have pulled from her show.
The four companies — TripAdvisor, Wayfair, Expedia and Rachael Ray’s pet food brand Nutrish — pulled their ads from Ingraham’s show on Thursday thanks to Hogg’s digital protest.

Ingraham went on to apologize via Twitter today (she even graced Mr. Hogg with one-tenth of a point bump to his GPA).

Any student should be proud of a 4.2 GPA —incl. @DavidHogg111. On reflection, in the spirit of Holy Week, I apologize for any upset or hurt my tweet caused him or any of the brave victims of Parkland. For the record, I believe my show was the first to feature David…(1/2)

… immediately after that horrific shooting and even noted how "poised" he was given the tragedy. As always, he’s welcome to return to the show anytime for a productive discussion. WATCH: https://t.co/5wcd00wWpd (2/2)

To his credit, Hogg is having NONE of it and called on the hate-mongering host to do more than just beg her advertisers to come back. Just this afternoon, Hogg tweeted:

I 100% agree an apology in an effort just to save your advertisers is not enough. I will only accept your apology only if you denounce the way your network has treated my friends and I️ in this fight. It’s time to love thy neighbor, not mudsling at children. https://t.co/H0yWs4zMGk

Yes, he did the unthinkable – he came after Fox News. He didn’t stop there, he added a subtweet seconds later:
Focus less on fear and more on facts. Then we can save lives in this country together.

Although it is completely abhorrent to watch teenagers get treated so poorly by grown adults with children of their own, the reserve of the likes of David Hogg and his fellow classmates-turned-activists is an inspiring spectacle to behold. Time and again they refuse to sink to the level of those attempting to bully them into silence.
If this strength lies inside the future leaders of our country, we really are in good hands.
